Thanks Joel (and others).
Whilst I personally always try to use loopback addresses in production (also
useful to use a source addresses for SNMP traps and TACACS requests), I was
just wondering about the lab.
When given a scenario, (such as configure up an OSPF virtual link), on some
routers that may not have loopback addresses set, I assume that there is no
reason why you cannot setup loopback addresses.
When using loopback interfaces for this sort of thing, would you tend to
allocate them with /32 masks and add them to the routing tables to assist on
connections etc), or would you group them into different subnets depending
on area / location etc... ?
