Greetings:
My name is Chuck Stiehm, from Sterling, VA (near Washington Dulles). I have
scheduled my lab for 8/24 in Nova Scotia. Am actually a little router heavy
at home, but that is probably a good thing (need to clear out some things to
come up with my final lab configuration).
My plan of attack is to take a 6 week period off from work (combined
vacation and LWOP) and pretend it is finals week(s). Have also mapped in
a couple of events between now and the lab. Next week at Networkers, a one
week CCIE prep class at Chesapeake (based on Caslow) last week in July, and
2 days at Wichita about 2 weeks before the real thing. I am a little
concerned about the recent additions to the CCIE lab, i.e., token switches,
atm, etc., since it is hard to get access to this type of gear... and I
refuse to buy a token switch :}
I don't really get a chance to work on this stuff enough at my job (i.e., no
lab), and I have not seen any type of Users group/CCIE study group in the
DC/Northern VA area, so I have been confined to practice at home. I guess
the real fun begins now
Really look forward to being on the group.
Thanks,
Chuck
