A number of you have asked what book I was talking about. Sorry I did not
get back sooner. Family vacation got in the way.

Author : Willaim R. Parkhurst
Title: Cisco Router OSPF
ISBN: 0-07-048626-3

You should be able to read the book in a very short period of time. It does
not just cover OSPF. It does cover most interior IP routing protocols.

Hear is why I liked the book.
1st The reading is easy., Not allot of going over and over the same things
everyone else does, and I know
2nd most of the examples only need 2 routers. In my case getting time on a
bunch of routers is hard. Most times I can get 2 routers on my desk, and
back to back them. Having labs with 2 router is nice.
3rd A good number of the labs are wrong. The text by Parkhurst is right. Who
ever did the examples had no clue. Most of the mistakes are very slight. In
my case I would enter then as shown. The figure out why they did not work.
Some were very obvious.

I also like and use Cisco Certification, from Caslow. It's a must have book.
I dont like the fact that he never shows the whole config. When was the last
time you talked to TAC, and they asked for only part of you config?

Hope this helps,
Back to vacation.
Howard.
90 some days to go.
