My take is that the spokes will still not be able to communicate but the
hub will be able to communicate with either spoke. I would use IPX
EIGRP and disable split horizon. The other alternative is to use
tunnels.

I recommend Map commands on all multipoint and physical interfaces (with
the broadcast parameter at the end) for self documentation and to avoid
loss of connectivity if inverse arp is turned off.
