OFF Topic: How to get Documentation CD Working with Windows 2000 Server ?

I can not get the Doc CD working with Windows 2000 Server the Verity Server
never seems to start. If I try and browse the HTML I get garbage I guess it
is compressed/indexed via the verity server ?
