Dear Jamie,

Thanks so much for your perspective, I for one appreciate this kind of post. T
hough I have something to confess. I am not proud of this, but with 3 weeks to
 go:

* The wife and I aren't the most intimate we've ever been. (She's being GREAT
tho!)
* I'm not catching many of my kids' ball games.
* I haven't read the Bible in some time.

Ask my wife about the garage. These things are true: my head is pretty much n
umb all the time. I don't sleep soundly. Last night I had some pretty bizarre
 dreams about ATM.

But I think I'm okay. I also think a better man than I would take your advice
. But I'm on a mission, and maybe just a bit out of control.

I've been wondering lately about the time AFTER the failed attempt. What do mo
st folks do? Do they get right back up? Couple days? Weeks? Months?

Do most find the support structure (SO's kids, etc.) starved for attention? Is
motivation a struggle? What's it like?

Maybe these questions are rhetorical. I've got way too much else I've got thin
k about. But I'll toss them out there anyway. Should be able to answer it mys
elf pretty soon.

- John
