NAT Network translation

Hello,

Is there a way to translate network address portion of
the IP address using NAT & leave the host portion in
place?

I have 12(1).2 code & I have tried the ip nat inside
source network command. Using a /16 addresses.

Debug shows: Address (Global side address) already in
use on attached network

YET the(Global side address) is not in the routing
table or anywhere else?
