Snapshot with Appletalk

Here is a URL from Cisco's CCO that describes how to configure snapshot
routing.

Now being that both AppleTalk and IPX can be configured to use EIGRP,
what would be the advantage over using snapshot routing if EIGRP were
implemented? (Because using snapshot isn't very common in alot of
network designs today).
