split horizon

Why does EIGRP have a special command to disable split horizon on IP "no ip
split-horizon eigrp autonomous-system-number", why doesn't it use "no ip
split-horizon"?

Let me take a crack at my own question and maybe someone can confirm/
clarify: split-horizon is used by the DV routing protocols. The command is
specific to the routing protocol, it just happens that RIP and IGRP use the
command "ip split-horizon", furthermore, EIGRP can have different instances
of it's routing protocol enabled per router, and Cisco has made it possible
to enable no split-horizon on one process and not the other with EIGRP.
