1st of all, your esi is pointing to your major interface,
it should be 000088888888.01<-pointing to your sub-interface-
2nd of all, I've never used esi w/LANE myself.
If you are trying to statically configure LANE, you must then use
lane-client-atm-address, lane-server-atm-address, lane-bus-atm-address, and
lane config config-atm-address commands. All are subinterface commands
except the LECS, which is only configured at the Major interface level since
only one LECS is allowed per LANE domain(there are exceptions, but the is
the standard rule)
anyone feel free to correct me, as I need to bone up more on ATM-
talk to you soon,

Aaron DuShey

Subject: Can't change atm addr of LEC on 4700

Have the following cfg...

interface ATM0
 no ip address
 atm pvc 1 0 5 qsaal
 atm pvc 2 0 16 ilmi
 atm esi-address 000088888888.00
!
interface ATM0.1 multipoint
 lane server-bus ethernet ccie
 lane client ethernet ccie
 bridge-group 1

Yet LEC still uses its default address...

#sh lane client
LE Client ATM0.1 ELAN name: ccie Admin: up State: operational
Client ID: 1 LEC up for 5 seconds
Join Attempt: 29
HW Address: 00e0.1eaf.10d2 Type: ethernet Max Frame Size: 1516
ATM Address: 47.00918100000000E0F95A7F01.00E01EAF10D2.01

VCD rxFrames txFrames Type ATM Address
   0 0 0 configure
47.00918100000000E0F95A7F01.000011111111.00
  85 1 5 direct
47.00918100000000E0F95A7F01.00E01EAF10D3.01
  88 6 0 distribute
47.00918100000000E0F95A7F01.00E01EAF10D3.01
  91 0 5 send
47.00918100000000E0F95A7F01.00E01EAF10D4.01
  92 7 0 forward
47.00918100000000E0F95A7F01.00E01EAF10D4.01

Am I using this cmd correctly, or do I have to use the 'lane
client-atm-address' cmd instead?
