ip gre multipoint

Does anyone out there have experience using ip gre multipoint? I have
looked all over cco for a sample and all I can find is usage with NHRP. Is
that the only way to use it?

What I want to do is set up a multipoint tunnel across a frame relay network
and run apple or ipx over the gre tunnel. Is that possible? Any help would
be great.
