   Hi,
   
   Generally, you need to be very careful with OSPF (and possibly IS-IS)
   as the link state protocol does not employ split horizon.  This means
   an external OSPF route that has been redistributed into OSPF will be
   redistributed back out.
   
   For Distance Vector, split horizon normally prevents this.  The only
   issue occurs when you have multiple points of mutual redistribution
   where you should use filtering.
