Another Multicast Question...

I am working on a lab with Multicasting that says "Advertise the multicast
group to the catalyst"? This is my lay out:

[r1]---[r2]---[R3]---[Cat]

I have PIM spare-mode running on all interfaces and CGMP running on R3's e0
to the Cat with CGMP also running on the CAT. I have a IGMP join on R2's
loopback0 and the following also on R2:

ip pim send-rp-announce Loopback2 scope 16 group-list 69
access-list 69 permit 224.1.2.3

Aren't I already advertising the multicast group to the cat???? Doesn't the
IGMP join on R2 get sent to the cat R3 which converts it to a CGMP join to
the Cat? What commands should I be using to check this out? Thanks!
