I think you mean R4 and R5 run EIGRP.

By default, RIP and NLSP automatically redistribute routes. The NX
tag are the RIP routes that have been automatically redistributed into
NLSP (hence the NX external tag).

However, EIGRP and NLSP do NOT automatically redistribute. You must
   configure it manually:

   ipx router nlsp area2
      redistribute eigrp 1

   ipx router eigrp 1
      redistribute nlsp area2

Subject: IPX NLSP and EIGRP Risditribution Question

   Hi, Guys,

When I prapare IPX NLSP, and I find the following situation:

   The network toplogy is:

   R1-----R2-----R3-----R4-----R5

I have two NLSP area: Area1, and Area2

   R1 and R2 use RIP

   R2 and R3 belong to Area1, and R3 and R4 belong to Area2.

   R3 and R4 use EIGRP

On R3, the router have all the routes, include RIP and EIGRP, but when
   the command show ipx route,

the routes have the NX tag.

But on R2, the routes about R5 can not be found, also on R4, the
routes about r1 can not be found.

I want to know: Whether NLSP can not redistribute EXTERNAL routs to
   other area?

   Thank you very much.
