Hi,
You know that default behaviour of rip is to summarize at network boundary.
Be carefull of the command " auto_summary ". If you use rip ver 2 and make
no auto summary , neigbour gets all subnetted networks in 140.1.0.0 . But
if you make auto_summary under router rip , this makes what you want. I
hope this helps you.

Is it possible to send a summary route to a neighbor? I have a practice
lab that asks me to configure RIP to only unicast a summary route of
140.1.0.0 to a neighbor router. I have searced CCO and tried doing this
with no luck. Is this even possible or is the author of the lab on drugs?
