Question about FRTS (actually 2 questions):
Q1:
How is the "frame-relay priority-dlci-group" command used? CCO does a
horrible job explaining it....The full syntax is "frame-relay
priority-dlci-group {group #} {high dlci} {medium dlci} etc." Is the group
number that is referenced a regular old priority-list?
Q2:
>From CCO----
Before you configure the DLCI priority levels, complete the following tasks:
Define a global priority list.
Enable Frame Relay encapsulation, as described earlier in this chapter.
Define static or dynamic address mapping, as described earlier in this
chapter.
Make sure that you define each of the DLCIs to which you intend to apply
levels. You can associate priority-level DLCIs with subinterfaces.
Configure ELMI, as described earlier in this chapter.
Why do you need to configure ELMI? According to CCO, ELMI is enabled by
using "frame-relay qos-autosense" which allows the router to dynamically
learn QOS traffic rates from the switch. If I want to manually configure
all the trafiic rates in my map-class, why do I need ELMI for
priority-dlci-group?
Okay, I lied...Writing all of this made me come up with a third question.
Does anybody know how to configure the frame-relay switch to pass this info
in ELMI? CCO doesn't even remotely mention it.
Thanks,
Jack
