Just got home from RTP. 4 hour drive. Thank god thats over. I
wasn't gonna do one of these e-mails, but what the heck.

Real quick. Day one, %75 percent finished by lunch. Finished by
2, checked work. Missed two sections worth 5 total day 1. Day 2,
finished by 10:30, checked work, missed a section worth 2. Looking
real good for TS. Finished TS in about 1 1/2 hour, check for 1 1/2
   hour. Got number and booked.

You all know the books to read. The Bootcamp labs were an
invaluable tool, as were Bootcamp racks for special technologies. The
rack at Nantech was also a big help! Thanks to Paul for running this
board, and to all of those out there who were kind enough to help.

There were two keys for me. First was ATTITUDE and
CONFIDENCE!!!! Don't be intimidated! Go in and kick ass. If you fail,
go study some more and then go back and kick ass! I approached this
like when I played football. I'm gonna beat this thing! There is a
difference between confidence and cockiness. Cockiness will sink you,
but lack of confidence will sink you too. You are worthy of CCIE. You
   can be a CCIE!

The second and probably as important, is practice, practice,
practice on your own equipment. I sold my sled (motorcycle) to buy a
bunch of routers, cat, and ISDN sim. It paid off. A home lab is a HUGE
help. If you can swing it, do it. You can sell it later. I will
   definitely help you pass!

On that note, my lab is for sale. Heres what I have. 9 routers,
   including a 2521 for a frame switch, a 2509 term serv, various 2500's
with ethernet, serial, token ring, BRI's. Most have 16/16 with 12.1
   IPSEC. I have an Teltone ISDN simulator, three NT1's, a Cat2900, a
token ring mau, an 805, and all the back to back serial cables and
ethernet cables and transcievers you could want! The first $7500 takes
it all! Yes, $7500! I want to get it out of my den. I figured I'd put
it up here before e-bay. Before anyone asks, I won't piece it out.

Again, thanks to all of you! Maybe tommorow this will sink in.
