The main thing I found to be an issue was the switch I had a 3920 was set to au
to detect duplex and speed. I changed this to full and 16 and it worked. The in
terface was up on the router however in my case but it would not work until har
d coded.

Subject: Token Ring Queries
Hi,
Sorry, I have no experience with physical token ring, so forgive if these
are silly questions:
I have access to equipment that has DB-9 style female Token Ring interfaces.
I have a Catalyst 5500 Token Ring Switching Module that has 24 RJ-45 style
Token Ring ports.
I have cables that "look" like they convert from DB-9 to RJ-45, but I have
had trouble getting the interfaces to initialise. Here I my configs:
R1:
int to0
no shut
ring-speed 16
R2:
int to0
no shut
ring-speed 16
Catalyst:
set tokenring mode 10/1-24 auto
set vlan 1003 mode srt (this is the default TrCRF...)
Can anybody help with a minimum configuration?
