I've had a the same basic problem when configured for dot1q vlans, as I assume
you
are. I've also seen MLS freak out like there was a loop in the topology
(gratuitous "too many moves" warnings) and never converging (right term?). I
never found the loop. We have 3548's in the closets, 6509's at the core and a
few
5509's for legacy token-ring. This is a very redundant design. I'm testing th
e
theoroies, today, that these problems are related to either dot1q having only o
ne
spanningtree instance or the use of backbone fast. (or both).
I'll let you know if I come up with anything. If anyone wants to chime in, fee
l
free. You might save me some work. :)
