Saving extra configs on a 2500

I'm just curious if there is a trick available to save an extra config
(other than startup-config) somewhere on a 2500. Given that the flash is
read-only I can't put it there like I would on other routers. My only
thought is I could put it in NVRAM but I can't seem to find a way to do
that either. Any ideas or is this just not going to happen?
