dlsw linger : what 0 means

Can anybody advise on this contraddiction, especially if you had chance to
test it...

>From "Configuring DLSW+" :

<Note: if the linger keyword is set to 0, all existing sessions on the
backup router immediately drop when the primary recovers.>

>From "DLSW Design and Implementation Guide" :

<Setting the linger keyword to 0 will cause sessions on router B [backup]
to remain active until they terminate on their own.>

Of course the fact of OMITTING the linger keyword is explained totally
different as well.

Which one is correct ? Or I will have 50/50 to guess it, should they ask
me this feature in the lab...
