If I understand you correctly you would like IP connectivity from the PC to
the 2521, with both being on the same subnet.

If this is the case IRB on the 2521 should do the trick.

You would need to enable bridging on the serial port of the 2521 and move
the IP address that is on this port to the BVI interface. You would have to
make sure IP is being bridged on the 2521's serial port, use the sh int irb
command to confirm this. If IP is not being bridged on the serial port use
the "bridge x route/bridge ip" or "no bridge x route/bridge ip" play around
with these commands till you get IP bridged on the serial interface.

Eric

Subject: One bridge question.

Hi, group!

The case is:
One 2521 is connected to one 4000 with serial port, and briging is enabled
on 4000.
One PC is connected to the ether port on 4000.
The pc and the serial port on 2521 belong to the same ip subnet.
I want the 4000 act as a bridge to connect the PC and 2521.

How can I do with it?
Which type of bridge can I use to complete the task??

Thanks a lot.
