Have you tried using the password recovery technique to get into the router,
that may side step the config issue.

Subject: really strange reverse telnet problem
I was configuring bridging on my rack and all of a sudden out of nowhere all
of my routers got a transport import none on the console ports!! I went in
via
aux to change it back but when I tried reverse telnet again it didn't work!!
I'm afraid to hook my octal cable into the aux port because if that happens
there I'm fried. Has anyone ever seen this? How do I fix it?
TIA
Regards
Steve
