    My routers' IOS version is js-12.0(6)T. Maybe my laptop doesn't enable
NetBEUI. I'll try it using netbeui. Thank a lot.

you should be able to access both directions via a workstation name,
assuming netbui is enabled.  I ran into a similar problem with two routers,
I could access one way, but not the other, I replaced one of the routers and
had the
same exact problem.  My R1 was 11.3 and other two 11.1
i upgraded my 11.3 code to:
c2500-js-l.113-11a.bin
and everything started to work..
