But it dont work on my 12.1(5) - nets in area wont appear as external
routes in OSPF database at all.
Look at this:
cut from config:
interface Loopback0
 ip address 170.10.6.1 255.255.255.0
 ip ospf network point-to-point
[]
router ospf 1
 log-adjacency-changes
 area 0 authentication message-digest
 redistribute connected subnets tag 6
 redistribute static metric-type 1 subnets tag 3
! I wish place u as externals with tag 6
 network 170.10.6.0 0.0.0.255 area 0
 network 170.10.7.0 0.0.0.255 area 0
But cut from sh ip osp da:
                        Type-5 AS External Link States
Link ID ADV Router Age Seq# Checksum Tag
30.1.1.0 170.10.5.1 1002 0x80000021 0xFBA3 6

30.2.1.0 170.10.6.1 512 0x80000001 0x2994 6

192.19.15.0 170.10.5.1 1002 0x80000002 0x8477 6
195.151.186.32 170.10.5.1 1002 0x80000002 0xCAFC 6
195.151.186.32 170.10.9.1 901 0x80000001 0xB014 6
Yes, i cant find 170.10.6, 170.10.7 also. No matter transit that area or
not
- dont exist as externals.
