Yeah
I just cut one that is approx 225' and it works. I threw it out the backroom
window and into our backyard to play while I watch the kiddies. Now my
neighbors can see what my wife has been talking about all along.

Nowadays, I think even half-decent cat5 cabling exhibits something less than
15 pF/ft, so again theoretically, you should be able to get out past 165
feet or so @ 19.2 Kbps. If you halve the speed to 9600 bps, the max distance
should go up by something like a factor of 4 to 10!
