Hi All,
Can you guys out there who have taken the 1-day exam tell us if you passed
or failed. I know you probably don't want to divulge your failing score,
but your score, whether passing or failing, would be appreciated. This will
help us who are taking the exam in the near future gauge the difficulty of
the new format.
This will help us get an idea of the passing rate and the level of
difficulty.
Thanks a bunch
Joseph
PS. Those of you who have passed the easier 2-day format, please don't flame
me with lectures about how one should be prepared and not worry about the
format. The fact is, the 2-day exam is easier by virtue of having more
time. Having more time means that you have more time to look up things on
the CD. Having simple configuration task in the exam is an advantage
because one can breeze thru the easy config stuff and have more time to look
up things on the CD for more difficult stuff. The 1-day format does not
leave you with time to look up things on the CD. Hence, you have to
memorize all of the possible complex configuration tasks. This is one
aspect of the 2-day format that 2-day CCIEs are not willing to admit.
2-dayers will undoubtedly argue with you till your green how the 2-day
format is harder, but the passing rate should reveal the fact. So, please,
please, please ... no flames. I am just conducting a survey.
