Further to this I have been advised this is only valid when connecting to an
LS1010 (or other Cisco switch). Can someone confirm?

My understanding is that when you use the ESI in ATM you
MUST set the
selector byte to match the remote sub-if number. Ie if the
remote is on
atm0/0.2 then the selector to map to that ( ie if using
1577) would be .02?
