IOS recommendations?

What are most of you using for IOS images? 12.1 Enterprise?

I have some 2500's that have 16Mb of dram but only 8MB of flash and
before I upgrade the flash I want to find out if I can use a different
image on my rack that doesn't need 16MB of flash.
