spanning tree

Anyone explain why I see incorrect root port and mac address on some
switches as below. It says spanning tree is enabled. But does not know
root. This switch is access switch, single connection to distribution
switch which is the root.

sh spantree
VLAN 1
Spanning tree enabled
Spanning tree type ieee

Designated Root 00-00-00-00-00-00
Designated Root Priority 0
