Hi All,
I am losing my lab equipment at work and need to buy some kit for a home
lab. Does anyone know a good reputable company in the UK (pref London and
surronds) that sells cheap/second hand Cisco kit that I could buy from
(other than ebay). My lab at work consisted of mainly 2600's but I would
like to know if you can get by with just 2500's (except for maybe one 2600
for the voice cards).
If anyone has a good equipment list in use for a home lab can they please
let me know/have a copy. I had a Jtec ISDN mux at work that I used to
simulate an ISDN network (pri's and bri's), are the ISDN simulators any good
and what brands are decent/cost effective. Also would you bother buying
2500's now as they are at EOL and do they run anywhere near as good as the
2600's, especially when running BGP, IPsec etc ie can you get by on 2500's
as they would be much cheaper? If anyone knows how much equipment is to buy
in the UK (pounds not euro) could you let me know, being a techi I never
have been involved in pricing.
Thanks
David.
