In my case, I use four PS1 (386 based) computers I got for $20 each.
They have a 12" monitors build in. I boot dos 3.31 from floppy running
a 30k freeware program called CVT100. I also use a KVM switch with a
foot pedal to jump pc to pc with the same keyboard. My lab partner
plugs in via aux ports as needed.
It's heaven to debug isdn with four monitors running console debug
sessions.

I think you would want to telnet to the PC then run a command line based
terminal program. I briefly looked at this solution, but decided it
would
be easier to figure out how to configure a 3com terminal server I had.

Subject: PC for Reverse Telnetting
Does anybody know how to use a regular PC as a reverse telnet machine.
The
idea is to be able to telnet to a PC and then reverse telnet to one of
its
com ports; similar to a 2511 router. The idea is to use a PC instead of
buying a 2511 or 2509 access server.
