Jim,
I think you'll get the message "setting clockrate on a DTE isn't
allowed" on any router and any version of the IOS. Setting the clock
rate (the command is two words) should be done on the DCE end of the
cable.

I'm trying to configure an AGS+ as a frame relay switch without much
success.
It's running version 9.1 and I can't figure out how to change the
serial
interfaces from DTE to DCE. Putting in the clockrate command doesn't
work.
