distance under OSPF in cyscoexpert sample lab

Hi,

I didn't get the answer yet.
In R4 for cyscoexpert sample lab:
distance 171 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 1
has been configured under OSPF. I know it will set the
administrative distance for Ethernet 0 of R3 to 171.
But my question is why this configuration is required.
 This configuration should be based on some
requirement in the lab. But I can not find where it
is.
