Dave,

According to Cisco web site, Cisco will put EMI image which is layer 3
image on 3550 switch. In that case, I should use my 2948G switch for
practice if that's what you mean. Thanks.

If the 3550 is an L3 and the 2948 is an L3 than those two would be
closer otherwise the CLI is pretty much the same for L2 between all
three.
