Gents,

In Solie's Skynet lab it asked you to configure ospf over frame. You can only
use subinterfaces on R1. R1,R2,R3 should be in the same subnet. Then R4 will
use a different subinterface and different segment. If I attempt to
configure the subinterfaces to BOTH use multipoint network types the IOS (
ver 11.3 ) will only allow me to make the first one multipoint, and the
second one will only be point-point. Hence the R4 router will not pass routes
because of network type mismatch. What I did to correct the problem was to
make R4 a member of the multipoint interface, and it works. Can some one
explain why this is so.
