Hello,
Is there anyway I can put notes into my config on a cisco router.
So when I check back over the stuff I can see exactly what I am doing..

I have tryed using:

! Blah de blah

But it never shows in the config.
Surely there is a way, this would be am extremly helpful feature.

Also on another point:
Is it possible to modify on a permanent basis the default config on my
router..
Say for example, everytime I write erase a router in the lab. I have to cut
and paste the usual stuff back in.

No ip domain lookup, secret passwords, line vty stuff etc..

Is the a file I can edit on the router to add to the automatic defaults..
Wheb it boots.

Again, this would be quite usefull when working in a lab#..

I can't find info on either of the 2 issues above.

Any help appreciated..
Kind regards#.
Paul.
