If you don't have a TFTP configured then use the internal flash of the
router.

copy your basic config to flash 'copy running flash:basic'
Config your lab and save to flash 'copy run flash:lab'

If you ever overwrite the basic config from startup then copy it back 'copy
flash:basic startup'

When you want to load the lab config, boot the router and then 'copy
flash:lab running'

Or you can use the 'boot config flash:lab' config command and reload.

Subject: Saving Config files?

Hi,

I am working through some labs at the moment. Can you please tell me how to
save the configs so that when I reboot the machine it is pre-configured like
usual and if I want to continue my lab I can load the file.

I am sure this has been covered before, but I would really appreciate your
help. Any other tips or tricks would be nice.

PS: I know my date is wrong...this will be fixed as soon as I find my
sister,
sorry.
