Well as for the price. I am getting each analog line for $20 per month.
A PRI is $1000. As for the DID, yes your provider will give you a range
of DID's say 555-1000 through 555-1020. The carrier will send you the
last four digits. I understand how this works with a PRI. We get the
last four digits (they will forward 3 - 5 digits to you if you need
them). Say we have the above DID's...someone dials 555-1001, we will
get 1001, and from there we can send those calls to extension 1001.
However, with analog trunks, is a DID tied to each trunk? If so, we
would need 24 pots lines to satisfy 24 users. What I am trying to do is
order the 12 pots lines and have the carrier supply me with 24 DID's.
Am I clear in how I am posing this question?

I'm not sure about this but isn't DID a service provided by the carrier?
Your company gets the service from the carrier and the carrier forwards
only the last digits to your company.
As about having 12 trunks instead of a PRI, I believe it's most cost
efective to have a PRI if the number of analog lines needed is 8 or more
(I may be wrong).

Sorry to post this question here but I need an answer to this very
quickly. Just hoping there is a Voice guy awake out there.
If I have an office of 25 people. I want to run SRST at my office. I
do not want a PRI. If I have 12 analog trunks can I have 30 DID's? Or
do I need an analog trunk for each DID. I was hoping I could tell the
carrier my DID's and they route the calls to the 12 analog trunks.
Hopefully I do not have to have a PRI.
