Correct, the session target MUST have physical ports.
a successful call would look like
CADR260101#csim start 500
csim: called number = 500, loop count = 1 ping count = 0
csim: loop = 1, failed = 1
csim: call attempted = 1, setup failed = 1, tone failed = 0

Subject: csim start again!
Hi Group
Can anybody clarify what to expect when using CSIM?
I have some routers, but no Voice cards, so I can't use the port x/x/x
command
I created the network..
R1 --- R2
R1, has IP 130.8.1.1
R2, has IP 130.8.2.2
configs,
R1,
!
dial-peer voice 1233 pots
destination-pattern 1233
!
dial-peer voice 1234 voip
destination-pattern 1234
session target ipv4:130.8.2.2
!
R2;
!
dial-peer voice 1234 pots
destination-pattern 1234
!
dial-peer voice 1233 voip
destination-pattern 1233
session target ipv4:130.8.1.1
When I use the Csim start I get:
Router1#csim start 1234
csim: called number = 1234, loop count = 1 ping count = 0
csim err csimDisconnected recvd DISC cid(2)
csim: loop = 1, failed = 1
csim: call attempted = 1, setup failed = 1, tone failed = 0
Router1#
and on debugging I get a "04:03:58: ssaCallSetupInd Peer not found: cid(3),
calledNumber=1234" on the remote router.
Is this because I have no physical ports?
Is there a workaround?
thanks
Adam
