Stefano,

Is RIP and SAP enabled on the TR segment where the SAP is missing?
I seem to remember something about NT servers needing RIP and SAP, they just
didn't work relying on GNS. Have you tried making the MTU smaller on the
server to account for the GRE encap - 1470 or somewhere around there?
What's your tunnel MTU? Can you IPX ping from one segment to another, using
extended IPX pings with various sizes? Sniffer might come in handy soon.

Hallo guys

I know some problems about MTU arrangement about IP and GRE tunnel.

Do you know/have got problems about IPX/GRE and MTU?:

I have got two token ring networks connected via GRE tunnel running on a
FastEthernet/MPLS carrier cloud (TR MTU=4476, Eth MTU=1500).
On Cisco routers, Windows 2K, OS/2, RIP and SAP tables are OK, all works
fine,

but, some Windows NT and 9x Netware client get very very long logon
procedures (10 min ...), then if time outs have not got trouble,
connection go fine (they can get file, print, ...)

looking with <ipxroute servers /type=278> command on a NT machine SAP
local service has got no NDS server entry in his table... (but 278
entries are present on Cisco table)

Problem arised changing old HDLC connection to new GRE/Tunnel (on
FE/MPLS)

ciao and thanks
