Set spantree portcost

Hello colleagues,

I have a question about changing the default spanning tree portcosts for a
given port. For 10/100 and 4/16 modules, the default port cost is set
automatically depending on the current speed of the port. For example, if a
10/100 port is working at 10 Mbps, the port cost is 100. If the port speed
changes to 100 Mbps, the port cost adjusts automatically to 19.
Now, when you are asked to set the cost to something more (or less) than the
default, what do you do ? Ask the proctor, I guess...?
Thanks for your opinion in advance.

Regards,

Georg
