When ordering the redundant SUP (the part number you mentioned), it should
show as half the price of the original one. Apart from that there is no
difference.

What do you mean "without using the redundant supervisory module"? One of
them will always be in standby mode (although both MSFCs will be active).
If you are asking about part numbers, it doesn't matter. You don't need
the one that ends with /2 (WS-X6K-S2-MSFC2/2). They can both be
WS-X6K-S2-MSFC2. It is the exact same thing, just 2 different part numbers.
