A potential employer explained to me that if you leave a Cisco partner
voluntarily, Cisco allows them a six mos delay, and your cert may not be
usable by your new employer (for purposes of partner status-- Silver, Gold)
for six months from when you left voluntarily. He was warning me that some
places could try to manipulate things so they get you on board with your
cert, and then get you to leave. I am not sure if some would fire you and
get to use your cert until you found other work. I am not sure about the
details, but it seemed like something to learn more about.
Does anyone have further advice about this and other things to consider when
seeking a job as a CCIE with a reseller?
