BGP RR not synchronized

I have a config as follows

R5------------R4--------------------------------------------------R6
-------------------------------------R2
AS555 AS1 Confed 333 RR Client AS1 Confed 333 RR
AS2 Confed 333
                                                                       |
                                                                       |
                                                                      R3 AS1
Confed 333 RR Client

R3, R4,R6, R2 are running OSPF R4, R6, R3 are point - multi subnet with R3 as
the hub R2 is connected to R3 on another point-point subif in
a different subnet.
R4 is receiving BGP routes from R5 AS555, synchronization is not turned off.
I redist the BGP routes on R4 into OSPF.
On R6 the BGP routes are synched, and advertised to R3 and R2 the routing
table prefers the IGP to IBGP route cool.
on R2 I have a dist list blocking them from being learned via OSPF and they
show up in the routing table from BGP with a distance of 200.
on R3 they show up in OSPF, unsynced the OSPF and BGP RID's are the same. The
only thing I can see is that BGP is learning them from R6 and OSPF is learning
them from R4 {because of the frame pt-multi subnet}. Is this the problem? Is
there a way around this? or am I just trying to do things that don't work.
