I know it for fact that your answer B is correct.
I sat the security CCIE written test a month after I passed the R/S lab,
and I was notified officially by Cisco that my new expiration was updated
to 4 years out.

I've searched all over but cannot find a concrete yes or no on this one.

Which situation is correct

My CCIE expires on the 1st Jan 2003
I recertify on the 1st Jan 2002

My CCIE is now valid until

A.
1st Jan 2004

B.
1st Jan 2005
