Alec,
you are right, lsa 3,4 are both generated by ABR, first one is advert about
networks (subnet/mask present in LSA) and second one is advert about host
route to ASBR. When you look at them using "sh ip ospf database ..." command
(with apropriate option) you can easily spot these.
