If you want to use only 1 layer 3 address for multiple NICs, you're going to
need either 802.1ad or Etherchannel. I don't know of any OS that can do it
itself, as it's really a function of the NICs. In addition to Intel; Compaq
(or Hewlett Compaqard as I like to call them) NICs can do Etherchannel.
3Coms support 802.1ad only, just make sure your switch does.
