Use 9600, N,8,1 but make sure to use Software Flow Control; this worked for
me :)

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. All (well except null modem suggestion)
to no avail. Kind of a bit stuck now.
I shall try 'breaking in' via the Ethernet mgmt and see if I can manage oit
