Alex,

It sounds like process switching to me. Issue the command " show cef interfaces", it should say: IP CEF switching enabled
If not issue "ip cef" in global configuration mode. If cef is already enabled on some interfaces but not others, you can do a "ip route-cache cef" on the interfaces it is not enabled. When you do a "show interface stat", you should have more packets in the route-cache column than the processor column. All traffic is not capable of getting CEF switched(Multicast, GRE, etc.) Traffic not getting CEF switched will be process switched. Show cef not-cef-switched, or show ip cef adj punt. Beware, there are many images affected by CEF bugs!
